Arledge Maternity Session

This sweet family reached out from a referral from a past client of mine and I was so happy to meet them and give them pictures to remember this exciting time in their lives. This is their first baby, and if your a mother already you can remember all the emotions of being pregnant for the first time. They range from excitement to a little scared of what is to come, but overall it is a joyous, special time of feeling those first flutters of movement, knowing that life is stirring inside and soon you will be welcoming this precious miracle into your arms and heart forever.

I love being able to capture this time and preserve the memory of what you looked like carrying your new little one, and seeing the expressions of happiness and excitement in your families facial expressions during a maternity session. Pregnancy can also be hard on you. You go through so many changes, not only physically, but also emotionally and hormonally. I personally can never forget the range of emotions I could have in a single day when I was pregnant. Laughing hysterically one moment, and sobbing uncontrollably for no real reason at all the next. Pregnancy is a wonderful, weird, joyous, scary ride for 9 months, but the end result is always worth it. A new baby brings along all the joy, happiness, and excitement to a new growing family.

So why do I love maternity sessions? I promise one day after your baby has arrived, you will miss those little flutters of movement and the sight of your round growing belly and let's be honest, going out in public everyone is so nice to a pregnant lady. Women look at you and then down at your growing belly, and give a smile to acknowledge you are now part of the motherhood. People hold doors open for you, people let you cut in front of a bathroom line because they remember what it was like to have a full bladder while carrying extra weight of pregnancy and a baby that always seems to start kicking when you really got to go. lol... I promise one day you will want pictures to remember this time, even if pregnancy isn't always the greatest experience for everyone. Sometimes it is miserable and in the end the only thing keeping you rolling out of bed is knowing soon he/she will be here in your arms making all the uncomfortable moments worth it.

Pregnancy is a lot of things, and it varies from woman to woman based on her experience and her journey to get to this point. But one thing that is the same, is that capturing this new change happening in your life and having memories and moments frozen in time to look back on, will always be worth it and something you will be glad you did.

This family was so sweet and they are expecting a little boy and you could feel their excitement when they spoke about the little boy who would be joining the family soon. This is why I love maternity sessions and hope if you are considering one in the future, you just do it and book the session and capture all the love. excitement, happiness and joy that pregnancy brings to your growing family.
